DOJ’s Cyber-Digital Task Force Report Touches IoT, Critical Infrastructure, Supply Chain Risk, and More

On July 19, 2018, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein gave remarks at the Aspen Security Forum.  He announced the release of the Report of the Attorney General’s Cyber-Digital Task Force. To combat “malign foreign influence operations” the Department of Justice (DOJ) announced a new policy framework for determining how to alert Americans of foreign influence campaigns.  

DOT Shifts Gears to Consider Future Infrastructure Needs of Automated Vehicles

The Department of Transportation’s Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) released a request for information (RFI) on infrastructure and automated driving systems (ADS).  Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao signaled at CES that the agency would release four RFIs focused on accelerating development and consumer adoption of ADS, and this is the first of the series.  Comments are due March 5, 2018.
